It is in our human nature that we need to socialize and be in contact with others. There is an inherent need in all of us to be in constant touch with the people in our live, be they our loved ones our friends, clients, business contacts, customers and so on…
Think of all the people in your life whom you can add a super smile to. These could be your loved ones, your family members, relatives, friends, next door neighbour, acquaintance, colleagues, business partners, bosses, customers or even clients. Or your doctor, dentist, hairdresser, pet shop owner, banker, baker, etc… The list is endless.
It is no harm being the smile center. Consider the various special occasions that you can start your smile program. It could be Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, Friendship Day, not forgetting their particular big day which would be their birthday. Besides special occasions, you have festivities like Christmas, New Year, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah, a good time to remember others on. What about showing some care and concern by giving some encouragement, showing sympathy, get well soon wishes or just simply thinking of you? Or share in happy times such as anniversary, good luck wishes, wedding and congratulatory notes. There are literally a thousand and one good reasons why you should keep in touch with those in your life.
Some of the ways to bring on a super smile include calling them on the phone to connect and to just chit chat, sending a text message, and ecard or even a greeting card. Personally I prefer to send a physical greeting card as I can add my heartfelt messages in the card and include pictures of myself or even the person I’m intending to send the card to. With family and relatives, I would normally call to chat with them on the phone and send out cards to them as well. I find it fun to send out cards to the people in my address book as I can keep in touch with them and allow them to know that they are not forgotten.
