YouTube Slap

If you are still not aware, YouTube has been on the rampage and many network marketers have been hit by the YouTube slap and have had their YouTube accounts either suspended or, worse still, terminated.  If internet video marketing is your main form of marketing, you definitely want to be sure that you abide by the YouTube Community Guidelines and some tips provided in “YouTube Videos – How To Beat The Slap”.

You might think that you would not be that unlucky and never be hit by the YouTube slap.  However that is just wishful thinking on your part.  I am sure you do not want to grow your YouTube channel, establish your brand, upload hundreds of videos with valuable content, gain thousands of subscribers and faithful followers, earn thousands of video views and then one day logging into your YouTube accounts and discovering that they are all gone!  POOF!

If you currently have multiple YouTube accounts, I recommend that you immediately shut down all but one account.  This is especially so if you had created all your accounts with the same email address.  Take note that only one YouTube account is allowed at all times.

When YouTube does track down your multiple YouTube accounts, you may not receive any warnings and just have your YouTube accounts here one day and gone the next!  You do not ever want to go through this horrible experience.  Watching years of hard work and effort being snatched away from you is like watching your baby being kidnapped. This is a nerve wrecking experience I do not wish on anyone.  As such, I am sharing this with you and hope it helps.

Should you decide to delete all your YouTube accounts, do ensure that the one account which you are going to keep does not have the same email address as any of the YouTube accounts that you are deleting.  If that is not the case, immediately log into your surviving YouTube account and change the email address.

To be extra safe than sorry, you may even wish to check if your Internet Service Provider is able to get you a new IP address.  If YouTube goes by the rule of one YouTube account per IP, then should you have multiple accounts, you will want to change your IP address immediately.

At the same time, I have learned that you should never upload YouTube videos on your blog.  I did that and now have to get back into my blog to check for any videos there as they are all not functioning and worse still, when someone clicks to view the video, they see the message “This video has been removed due to terms of use violation.”

So if you wish to avoid the YouTube slap and be able to continue with your internet video marketing and online branding via YouTube videos without any hitch, be sure to follow the tips and guidelines listed.  I wish you all the best.

The Slap

This is a topic very close to my heart after “I Got Hit By The YouTube Slap”. Let me share with you some tips that will prevent you from being slapped by YouTube especially if you are an avid fan of internet video marketing. With more than 1 billion views for YouTube videos per day, that makes it 11574 video views per second, there are thousands of people who search YouTube videos for information and research purposes as well as just to have plain fun.

Besides the YouTube Community Guidelines which you should be aware of, here are some other tips that will assist you in avoiding being hit by the YouTube slap.

1. At all times, ensure that you only have ONE YouTube account. Do not have multiple YouTube accounts or you are simply asking for trouble.
2. Some people are fond of using an automated service or software such as Traffic Geyzer to upload videos to YouTube. This is strictly a No-No.
3. If you are using any software such as TubeBlaster to add friends, comments or ratings automatically, stop that immediately.
4. Do not ever purchase YouTube views.
5. If you are in the habit to spam your video description, title or tags with keywords, you are in for a huge problem.
6. Be sure to always provide value. Do not use internet video marketing as a sales pitch. Never blatantly promote your product or service online.
7. Your YouTube channel can play a much more important part in your MLM network marketing business as it can help you with your personal cum business branding, establish you as an authority figure as well as build your credibility online.

We all love YouTube, currently the 3^rd most popular website on earth, for the main reason that it is free. YouTube not only provides free video hosting, it is a great video channel and a truly valuable source for traffic. Being the number one source of entertainment with 999,987,865 videos and counting, YouTube has gained its current status as people find that they can pretty much search YouTube videos and find anything and everything that will interest them all on YouTube.

That being the case, you do not ever want to give it any reason to shut you down. As such, you want to be nice on YouTube if you are looking to keep your channel active.

Follow the above guidelines and avoid getting hit by the YouTube slap. This way, you will not face any YouTube problem when going about your internet video marketing. You can still make use of YouTube videos to promote your business by providing value added content as well as training and how-to videos. Interviews, reviews and tutorials will prevent you from getting the slap.

YouTube Slap

Never did I expect to be hit by the YouTube Slap. YouTube Videos, now currently the 3rd most popular website in the world, gave me the slap just before the New Year. Since then, I have practically stopped all internet video marketing and am caught in the lurch. Having been busy with the New Year as well as the Chinese New Year baking cakes and cookies, I have not been able to share my experience about my YouTube problem till now.

Once YouTube gives you the slap, they seem pretty high and mighty. I received an email from them on 30th Dec stating that “The following video(s) from your account have been disabled for violation of the YouTube Community Guidelines. Your account has received one Community Guidelines warning strike, which will expire in six months. Additional violations may result in the temporary disabling of your ability to post content to YouTube and/or the termination of your account.”

Just by reading that email, I never expected anything to happen to my YouTube videos. All I thought was that well, the video in question would be disabled and I’ve got to be extra careful in the next 6 months so as not to cause any temporary disabling or termination of my account… Until a good friend of mine asked me what happened to my YouTube account. Then and only then, WHAM! did I realize that my account had been suspended.

Sending emails to YouTube saw no response at all. When you are doomed, that’s it! I urge all of you to read the YouTube Community Guidelines carefully. It is better to be extra cautious rather than allow YouTube a reason to give you the slap.

At the same time, I have done some research and understand that YouTube has been on the rampage and looking for any and all types of “suspicious” activity so that they have reasons to shut you down. This is especially so for network marketers and those involved in direct sales and online sales. YouTube is aware that this group of members is making money via YouTube video marketing and since YouTube is a free internet site, this means that they are doing it all for free.

I am absolutely sure that after all the efforts of building up your brand and your YouTube channel, you do not want the hundreds of videos and thousands of subscribers you have on YouTube to disappear from the face of the earth. Trust me! It is not a good experience at all, especially just before the New Year. Here I was looking forward to a fantastic year ahead on the one hand and getting slapped right smack across my face on the other.

At the same time, another lesson I take with this is never to upload YouTube videos on your blog. I had done that and now have to get back into my blog to check for any YouTube videos there as they are all not functioning and worse still, when someone clicks to view the video, they see the message “This video has been removed due to terms of use violation.”

So if you want to avoid any YouTube problem especially if you are doing lots of internet video marketing, my suggestion is that you be fully aware of and abide by the YouTube Community Guidelines. Lead Prospecting

When you are in network marketing today, in order to be successful and achieve passive residual income, your main task is to build a huge organization.  This is made easier if you are able to polish your MLM lead prospecting skills for your MLM network marketing business opportunity and separate your qualified and exclusive leads from the tire kickers.  Check out Jeffrey Combs’ website if you would like to know more about MLM Lead Prospecting.

Choice of words is key when you are prospecting for your MLM network marketing business and qualifying your lead.  As you may have realized by now, people avoid that which is painful.  As such, when you get good at asking the right questions, you will be able to touch your prospect’s hot button and get them to arrive at the decision you so desire.

Prospecting is all about connecting with your prospect.  The better you are at building the rapport with your prospect, the higher your closing rate.  The more detained you are at fact-finding, followed by the right questions, the higher your conversion rate.

As you interview your prospect and MLM network marketing lead, learn to be in a relaxed state.  Never turn the interview into an interrogation session.  Before you start prospecting for your MLM network marketing business, be in the right frame of mind.  Harbour positive thoughts and visualize yourself being successful.  Get into the right mindset for success and have belief in your capabilities as well as your MLM network marketing company.

Look out for clues and where necessary, rephrase the questions.  This will allow you to discover exactly what the concerns are and the root cause, which will definitely help you in your interview.  Do not expect to have 100% success.  In addition and most importantly, do not take anything personally.  If they are the right people for your business, you cannot do or say anything wrong.  Your job is to qualify your leads and prospects and see if they are the kind of people you are looking for your MLM network marketing business.  You only want to work with the right people who will be your very own exclusive leads.

You will undoubtedly face many challenges along the way in your MLM prospecting.  However if you consistently perform the task without feeling rejected, disappointed or on the verge of giving up, you will be able to find the right persons for your business, that is, those who are ready to break free from their current financial situation.

Do not take yourself out of the game before you achieve success.  Live openly and create connections with your leads and prospects. Allow your energy to be transmitted, as people want to connect with leaders who can make them feel good about themselves and lead them to success.

Today’s lesson is the most important one in the series so far.

YOU’LL LEARN AS MUCH (IF NOT MORE) WATCHING…
WHAT I DO RATHER THEN JUST READING WHAT I TEACH!

You see, believe it or not, in just 3 days of blog posting I’ve already accomplished quite a few objectives. Some of them are the same goals others struggle with for months to achieve. So the most valuable advice I can give you today is to lift up my skirt, so to speak, and show you the method behind my madness.

O.K. now before I begin I should admit you’re probably not starting out at the same place I did last Friday. Heck, I’ve got a reputation, I’m a known entity, and I’ve got a substantial list. But so what?

Even if it took you ten times as long and you got only 1/2 the result I did, would it be so bad?

Ten times as long would be 30 days instead of 3, big deal right? But what results am I talking about? Well, brothers and sisters, read on to find out…

Last Thursday, I was looking over our website stats. It wasn’t hard to notice our traffic was way down, engagement was sort of non-existent and our sales were less than I’d like them to be.

Also, I felt I have become a little out of touch with what the markets’ concerns, questions and desires were.

So, I decided to DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

And you can learn more from what I did in these past 3 posts than what you’ve learned from reading them.

On Friday, we had more traffic to the blog than we’ve had over the past three months. And more visitors engaged (judging by the number of comments) than we’ve had in over SEVEN motnhs.

In addition, I immediately plugged into the concerns, questions and desires you had, my dear reader, by reading all the comments you graciously shared with me.

Now, if that wasn’t enough, we also saw sales shoot up a bit. All-in-all not too shabby from a single blog post.

So on Friday and throughout the weekend, we achieved positive momentum in all the key areas I was concerned about.

And to an entrepreneur like me, positive results in any marketing is more addictive than crack to a junkie, so I entered this week like a man on a mission.

Next, on Monday I added to the momentum. How so? Our traffic on Monday more than doubled again, engagement continued and ancillary sales inched up even higher. And I got an even clearer picture of what was on your mind.

Then, yesterday (Tuesday) our traffic doubled again. In fact, yesterday’s post hit Alexa top 10 most popular pages on the entire Internet at least 3 separate times!

The engagement continued and miscellaneous sales were even higher than I expected. So, you can see why I am so excited to share these results with you and help you translate them to your own business.

O.K, enough bragging. It doesn’t really suit me, but I thought it was important to share with you the achievements so you’d be even more motivated to use what you’re learning here.

So, what are the lessons?

BREAK DOWN THE MAJOR OBJECT-LESSONS

In Friday’s post:

• I did something different and unexpected – (a blog post made up of entirely just questions). That’s important because doing something that is (1) unexpected and (2) unique, aretwo key ways to get a lot more attention than you would do otherwise…

• I teased you a bit (sorry) with something you might want to know. Do you remember? I said, “Would you like to know how I learned more about my prospects problems?” And many of you said yes! Whichimmediately increased engagement and also laid the groundwork to get you coming back to the blog so I could deliver on what I teased you about…

• I engaged in the conversation by responding to commenters in the comment section. Showing readers there’s a real benefit to commenting…

In Monday’s post:

• I delivered on what I teased you about in Friday. So I came through for you. Some of you thought – hey I told Rich what I wanted to know and he did what I asked and then asked yourself what other things you might want to know and asked me. So I showed you that I’m a stand up guy that you can trust and gave you an even bigger incentive to share your desires…

• I taught you something new, showing you that I can provide value and that coming to the blog was worth your time…

• I promised you more posts at a specific time and a specific frequency which gave you a clear reason and time to check back and read the next installment. This is incredibly important if you want to build your traffic and you don’t have a large list like I do to rely on. In fact, by Tuesday we already were getting lots of readers coming back to see if the post was published at 10 A.M. on the button…

• I gave you an example from my work, showing you I practice what I preach while at the same time getting quite a few readers to download the report which was a nice secondary benefit…

• I continued to engage by replying to comments – turning the blog post into more of a conversation than a dialogue. Thisgets you more comments because it gives readers another reason to participate because they can see that you are reading their comments and replying…

• I ended the post with two questions – one about yourbiggest takeaway (to get you to acknowledge publicly what value you got from the post – a form of social proof andcommitment) and the second about what you wanted me to focus on in future posts (once again giving you another reason to check back tomorrow)…

In Tuesday’s post:

• I delivered again just as I promised I would regarding the time, day, and providing value once again. Showing you thatyou could count on me to honor my promises and giving you an even greater incentive to check back tomorrow…

• I started the post with a link back to the prior post with a strong recommendation that it be read first. This increased the amount of time on the site and number of pages the average visitor read for the day. It also helped new visitors get up to speed on the conversation that was already taking place…

• I pulled 18 comments from the previous day andincorporated them into the post, highlighting one as being the primary motivation for the entire post. Once again this shows readers (1) there’s a strong reason to comment, (2)that the series is really an ongoing conversation and not a static monologue, and most importantly (3) that I really care about you and what you are saying and I take it to heart when I write the next post. Obviously, this enhances the bondbetween me and you (a reader of the blog), and gives an evenstronger incentive to comment and interact with me and others on the blog…

• I taught you a new distinction. This one might have explained why you’ve gotten less than ideal performance in the past, and showed you a way to remedy it in the future. Proving to you the time you spend reading my posts is time well spent. You can probably see how this increases repeat visitors, traffic and engagement all in one fell swoop…

• I continued to engage by replying to comments…

• I ended the post with the same two questions again for the same reason I had done it the day before…

• I also asked you (at the end of the post) to retweet the message which helped bring a plethora of new visitors to the blog – new prospects that I could begin to introduce myself to.

So, there you have it. What do you think?

Setting Goal

I am blessed to start the New Year being able to listen to Norbert Orlewicz, co-owner of MLM Lead System Pro, talk about the 2010 roadmap and How To Design Your Best Year Ever! This starts from setting goal. Without personal goal setting and a strategic roadmap to design and style your life the way you want it to be, the end of the year will be no different from where you are now. With proper goal planning and keeping in mind a millionaire mindset at all times, plus the bonus of Darren Hardy’s free goal setting process, you should be able to determine the direction of your sail and where you are heading to.

Here, I shall cover briefly what I took away from the earlier webinar.

Setting personal goals is the key to success. Writing down your goal and seeing your life as you desire it to be is the beginning of your goal planning process. Visualization plays a big part in the planning and setting of your goals.

You need to be able to create a vision for 2010. Besides having a bag full of Big Audacious Goals, you need to have a big WHY. Where does your motivating and driving force come from? What is your vision and mission? If you do not have a clear and strong enough WHY, you will crumble from beneath the challenges and problems encountered along the way.

When setting your goal, you need to push yourself to the edge. Expand your boundary. Keep yourself just out of comfort zone. This will be the only way for you to grow and improve. Just as a diamond has to undergo extreme pressure to become what it is today, so do you.

In order to start this goal setting process and planning a strategic roadmap to design and style your life into what you envision, you need to begin with where you are at. Review and reflect on the past. What worked and what did not? What lessons did you learn from it and how could you have done differently?

Remember to begin with an attitude of gratitude. In order to create abundance, you must first acknowledge and appreciate the wealth, abundance and prosperity that you already have. Living with an attitude of gratitude will allow more abundance to flow towards you. Darren Hardy explains it very well in his post The One Thought That Can Change Your Life.

Focus on what you wish to achieve on a daily basis. Do not despair. The key to success is to set your mind on your goal and work towards achieving it. There may be obstacles and challenges that you will need to breakthrough. This can be done with persistence.

Planning on achieving your goal takes commitment to action. Have a sense of urgency and build up your momentum. Step up to the challenge and work towards achieving your personal goal. It helps to have your goal stuck on your bathroom mirror or somewhere visible so that you can see it on a daily basis.

Begin to ‘act as if’ you have already achieved your goals by following your strategic roadmap. If your goal is to be a self-made millionaire, then you need to have a millionaire mindset and act as if that it is already true. Live the life of a millionaire. Speak the way millionaires speak. Treat your friends the way millionaires do. Behave the way millionaires behave. In every sense, act just as if you are already a millionaire. Experience the feeling of being a millionaire and feel the emotion of it all.

The whole goal setting process and actualization of it all comes down to belief.
