212 Degrees – Just That Extra Degree
Sep 16th, 2009 by Veron
Just came across this wonderful inspirational video today. Thought it is too awesome not to share with all of you. Check it out and you will also realize why many people fail to succeed.
At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils. And with boiling water, comes steam. And steam can power a locomotive.
Enjoy…
In life, it takes just that tiny extra bit of effort to make it or break it.
There is a saying:- Never Give Up.
In fact Winson Churchill was once asked to give a speech at a commencement ceremony at Eton. He was given a 20 minute introduction and everyone was waiting expectantly to hear what he had to say. When Churchill took the stand, his speech consisted of just 9 words: “Never give up. Never give up. Never, never, never.” Then he sat down.
If more people were to realize that the reason why they fail to succeed is that they tend to give up too early or not have the proper system to follow or not getting the right mentors, they would be able to solve their problems and not just throw in the towel.
Some Never Give Up Quotes:-
“Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that, you can make anything happen” ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
“All things are possible until they are proved impossible and even the impossible may only be so, as of now” ~ Pearl S. Buck
Remember that it just takes that one extra degree to reach 212 degrees and that makes all the difference! The one extra degree of effort in business and in life can separate the good from the great and failure from success.

You are absolutely right– we have to remember that it is the small things and the tiny bit of extra effort that distinguish those of us who are good from those of us who are GREAT.
