How To Create A Blog Broadcast With Aweber
Nov 4th, 2009 by Veron
If you have a blog where you regularly update your blog content as well as any email autoresponder service to follow up with your leads and prospects, it is a natural progression to send a blog broadcast. The Aweber online email marketing solution makes it simple to create a blog broadcast.
1. Sign in to your Aweber account. Ensure that you are on the correct ‘Current List’ that you wish to send the blog broadcast to.
2. Place your cursor at Messages. You will see 3 options:
- Follow Up
- Broadcast
- Blog broadcast
3. Click on Blog Broadcast. This will bring you to a page that says Blog Broadcast (RSS to Email). This option creates broadcast newsletters automatically from existing blog RSS content feeds or other sources of RSS and XML content
4. Click on Create New Blog Broadcast. You will then see the Blog Broadcast Edit page
5. Here you need to enter the RSS feed URL of your blog. Make sure your RSS feed is valid.
6. Choose template. Insert post into the template. When you use the template, you will automatically be creating a HTML message.
7. As not all HTML messages can go through, you would need to create another message in the ‘plain text message’ box below.
8. Schedule your blog broadcast. How often do you wish to send your blog broadcast? You may choose the specific time of day or days of the month you wish to broadcast your blog. It is possible for you to review the email before being sent unless you wish to do it totally on automatic. To do this, you will have to ensure that the ‘Send automatically’ box is not ticked. However this means that it is for you to manually Queue the broadcast when you desire to send it out. Other options such as tracking clicks on links in your blog broadcast and syndicating your broadcasts are also available.

Schedule Your Blog Broadcast - Do Not Tick 'Send Automatically' If You Wish To Review Before Sending
9. Do not forget to ‘Save Blog Broadcast’ when you are satisfied with your final version.
Tip: Always do a test message to yourself to check that the broadcast is appearing as you wish it to and that the links are all working accordingly. Edit your work until you are satisfied with the final version.
